Lords of the Rings MOBA Guardians of Middle-Earth has been confirmed for PC release, Confirmed by Warner Bros.
Warner Bros confirmed that the PC release will feature all 36 characters from the console edition, as well as three modes and six maps including The Shire, Goblin-town and Mirkwood. You will also be able to buy 36 alternate Guardian skins over Steam and the game will also have Steamworks integration, big picture mode and a variety of controller support options.
The 36 alternate Guardian skins can be bought in class-specific packs that include five Guardians and their five alternate skins for £11.99 each. You can also buy Smaug’s Treasure, which includes a stack of in-game currency and Smaug’s Greed Relic for £6.99.
Pre-order now to get the Mithril Edition on Steam you will get 10 per cent off the price, while those who pre-order the standard edition get 10 per cent off the game as well as a Company of Dwarves bundle, including five playable Guardians including Ori, Nori, Glóin, Kíli, Thorin Oakenshield and their alternate skins.
Gameplay is staying more or less the same in the PC version. You'll still have the iconic characters (including DLC characters), who are split into five classes: Warrior, Defender, Striker, Enchanter, and Tactician. Interestingly, controller support is staying with the game, but that's not particularly surprising, since Guardians was initially designed for consoles. Fortunately, the controls still transition well.
The publisher Warner Bros. confirmed a release date August 29 on Steam. Blacklight: Retribution developer Zombie Studios is porting the game on pc.
